Camelia Sinensis assamica - Live Tea Plant

This perennial shrub is the plant species used to make white, green, and black teas. The plant can be trained into a shrub or tree form but is normally kept at waist height to make harvesting of new growth easier. The new growth is processed in a variety of ways to attain different levels of oxidation resulting in the different types of tea.
